Benchtop Medical Refrigerators
Benchtop medical refrigerators are compact medical fridges designed to sit on a bench, counter or work surface. They may suit clinics, pharmacies, consulting rooms, treatment rooms and healthcare facilities that need a small purpose built medical fridge without using floor space for a larger cabinet.
Most benchtop medical fridges have a capacity of around 30 to 80 litres and are shallower than many under counter medical refrigerators. They are often used for vaccines, medicines and other temperature sensitive stock that needs controlled 2°C to 8°C storage.
Benchtop vaccine fridges and small medical refrigerators can be useful where stock volumes are modest, access needs to be simple and the fridge can be positioned at a practical working height. Models can be compared by capacity, cabinet size, door type, lock, alarms, monitoring options, power use and noise level.
ENLAKE does not generally recommend placing benchtop medical fridges underneath a bench. When these fridges are placed on the floor, they sit very low, which can make stock harder to see, reach and manage.
