Refrigerators are designated to a climate class
The climate classification enables you to see the ambient temperature range in which the appliance will be able to maintain the necessary storage temperatures.Climate classes are important as once the specified temperature and humidity limits specified by the climate class are exceeded, then there is no guarantee that the fridge or freezer can maintain your product at the required temperature, or that the door will suffer from excessive condensation.
The climate classes: SN = Subnormal: suitable for use in ambient temperatures of +10°C to +32°C N = Normal: suitable for use in ambient temperatures of +16°C to +32°C ST =Subtropical: suitable for use in ambient temperatures of +16°C to +38°C T = Tropical: suitable for use in ambient temperatures of +16°C to +43°C Climate Class 3 = Suitable for use in ambient temperatures of up to +25°C with 60% RH Climate Class 4 = Suitable for use in ambient temperatures of up to +30°C with 55% RH Climate Class 5 = Suitable for use in ambient temperatures of up to +40°C with 40% RH Climate Class 7 = Suitable for use in ambient temperatures of +10°C to +35°C with 75% RH It is vitally important that you pay attention to the climate class information of your biomedical refrigeration equipment as failure to do so can detrimentally affect the product's service life and energy efficiency, as well as leading to product loss. All of the following equipment has a SN Climate rating:-
