Access port for a temperature probe

An access port in the fridge or freezer allows an independent temperature sensor to be fed inside the cabinet. Simply feed the temperature probe for your independent thermometer or data logger through the port and seal up the gap with the supplied putty. An access port is a far better solution than running a temperature probe lead past the door seal which will create an air leak that will increase the running costs and increase the risk of the evaporator icing up.
