Solid Door Vaccine Fridges

These vaccine fridges have solid doors and are specially designed for use in medical practices and pharmacies for the storage of vaccines and drugs.

A downside to solid doors is that they make it harder to locate the vaccines as the door must be opened before the vaccines can even be seen. Hence door opening times may be longer, resulting in a rise of temperature within the vaccine fridge. Fortunately, all vaccine fridges are capable of rapidly bringing the temperature down to the correct range. Reducing door opening times can be simply achieved by having a vaccine fridge map located on the door.

Upsides to solid doors include being better insulated, which brings with it reduced electricity use and offering protection for light-sensitive products and that they keep the fridge contents away from prying eyes.
